Author Desiree was born on November 20th in McClellanville, SC. She grew up in the small, rural fishing town just outside of Charleston, and is the only daughter of two boys. Desiree completed her high school education at Lincoln High School and immediately entered the work force as an administrative assistant for her father at his transmission repair shop. She is the proud mother of three girls, Armani (17), Amaya (16) and Taylor (6).

She began writing at a very young age, first writing mini sitcoms to share with her dad, and then writing poetry and short stories as she became older. Desiree believes that her love for writing was nurtured through her mother, who was a journalist and a writer herself. Desiree completed her first published project in 2019 and has since published several other projects. She hopes to have many more published books within the coming years. She is the founder of the W.O.N.D.E.R.F.U.L organization, a women’s empowerment group that focuses on uplifting and empowering women of all ages. She is also a multi business owner, a radio talk show host (The Girl Boss Hour w/ Exquisite Internet Radio), a podcaster and motivational speaker. She is a Philanthropist who has focused her works on several different outlets, mainly the distribution of donated vehicles to persons in need spearheaded by her brother Eliot Middleton and the Middleton’s Village to Village Foundation, as well as being an advocate for Sickle Cell Disease and Epilepsy through many works with the Shawn Jenkins MUSC Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network. You may connect with Desiree via her social media sites and/or email for booking inquiries and speaking engagements.

“Family is of the upmost importance to me. Especially being a single mother of three girls, I thrive on showing them a great example of not only a mother, but a woman in general.”
